PG&E Medical Baseline

The Medical Baseline Program, also known as Medical Baseline Allowance, is an assistance program for residential customers who depend on power for certain medical and independent living needs.

The program includes two different kinds of help:

  1. A lower rate on your monthly energy bill
  2. Extra notifications in advance of a Public Safety Power Shutoff – including in-person notification if they are unable to make contact by phone.

Silicon Valley Independent Living Center – PSPS

As California experiences different bouts of weather, we are subject to wildfires and high winds, causing public safety power shut-offs (PSPS). SVILC partnered with PG&E to provides financial and direct services to individuals affected by PSPS, who require the use of Assistive technology (AT) Durable Medical Equipment (DME).

SVILC is a hub that you can notify if you are using a device or equipment that requires electricity to sustain yourself, such as an oxygen machine, refrigerator for medication, etc.

If you have a disability that may be significantly affected by a power shut off, please contact our office to be listed on our Public Safety Power Shut-Off (PSPS) Event Call/E-mail List.

Our list is here to call and notify you if you are in a potential shut off zone and provide further safety information.
