Report Disaster Impacts to Food Operations
Current Status:
There is an impending food crisis associated with pauses in CalFresh assistance, starting November 1, 2025. Additional cuts to public assistance also pose a threat to public safety and may exasperate this food crisis. Local community organizations have noted an increased demand and reduction in supplies related to feeding operations in the past few months within Santa Clara County. These organizations have noted a deep concern that pauses to public assistance will further increase demand, that they are already struggling to meet.
