Tsunami Advisory remains in effect for the California Coast, including the Bay Area and Central Coast. See attached graphic.
- Stay away from the water!
- Stay away from beaches and waterways!
- Do NOT try to go to the coast to take photos!
- You will not just put yourself at risk, you will put the people who have to rescue you at risk
- Remain away from shore until the local officials provide an “all clear” and the tsunami advisory is lifted
- Currents in the waters will remain strong creating dangerous conditions for swimmers, surfers, and other water based recreations
- Area beaches can still see flooding in excess of a foot over predicted tidal levels with surge and drain cycles occurring in under 10-20 minutes, causing life threatening conditions
