According to a briefing provided by the National Weather Service (NWS) today (Monday, December 22nd), an atmospheric river of rain and extreme weather continues to hit Santa Clara County through this week.
- Periods of heavy rain and strong wind through the week
- Localized flooding expected
- Debris flows possible
- Strong winds arrive Tuesday, December 23rd
- Power outages likely
- Chance of thunderstorms, particularly in/near the Santa Cruz mountains on Wednesday.
First responders and duty officers are standing by from all levels of government, PG&E, Valley Water, Red Cross, and CADRE. There will be an OEM coordination call daily and we will advise if things change.
