Youth CSN – Quarterly Meeting

May 21 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

If your work touches youth, families, schools, or young people in any way, your voice is critical.

Date: Thursday, May 21
Time: 1:00 – 2:00 PM
Location: Virtual REGISTER HERE

Why This Matters

In disasters, young people are often among the most impacted—yet they’re also one of the most overlooked groups in coordinated planning.

This network is meant to change that.

But it only works if the right people are at the table.

What We’ll Do (and Why It’s Worth Your Time)

This won’t be a passive meeting. We’ll focus on real, practical questions:

  • Do youth-serving organizations need volunteers—and what kind?
  • How can we better support families and young people during emergencies?
  • What gaps are we seeing right now?

We’ll also introduce a potential Youth Task Force focused on:

  • Youth preparedness
  • Family reunification
  • Engaging young people as part of the solution—not just recipients of services

You’ll have a direct role in shaping whether and how this moves forward.

Agenda (1 hour)

  1. Welcome & Network Updates
  2. Volunteer Capacity & Needs Discussion
  3. Leveraging CADRE for Volunteer Support
  4. Task Force Initiative Preview & Discussion
  5. Action Planning
  6. Announcements & Close

Why You Should Join

  • Help ensure youth needs are not an afterthought in disaster planning
  • Connect with others doing similar work
  • Influence real projects (not just conversation)
  • Be part of building something from the ground up

If you’ve ever thought “someone should be coordinating this better for youth”…
This is that moment—and we need you in the room.
