The Donation Support Network facilitates coordination among groups managing donations during disasters, providing a communication hub to streamline information sharing and resource management for effective donation management.

CADRE will develop a Donations & Volunteer Committee to support disaster readiness and planning for donation management throughout Santa Clara County.

OVERVIEW OF CADRE’S SUPPORT NETWORKS:

The Donation Support Network is one of 20 networks CADRE is developing to facilitate communication for nongovernmental organizations in Santa Clara County throughout the disaster cycle. These networks are broken up by different community services and functions to allow for more focused communication. The networks are designed to give organizations a way to quickly find and share information, collaborate, and communicate, before, during, and after disaster. Fill out the short Network Sign Up Form to ensure that you are included in updates about the networks you are interested in joining.

COMMUNICATION TOOLS:

1.) Recovers – The Recovers platform allows for seamless coordination of donations, providing organizations involved in donations management the ability to ask for, find, and acquire donations using an software tool that allows for donations coordination to be done completely online. Recovers will serve as the Donation Network’s primary tool for communication and coordination.

2.) Web page – This web page and the forms, lists, and map within it will be updated regularly and used to share resources and information regarding donation Management before, during, and after disasters.

3. ) Meetings – The network will decide upon a regular meeting schedule as it is developed. During disasters, meetings will be expanded at the network leadership’s discretion and by request.

4.) Back up methods of communication may include emails, phone and in person meetings, and utilization of Ham Radio and/or information centers in the case of technological challenges during an emergency. These backups are still being developed and decided upon.
