Emergency Preparedness Training hosted by Sen. Dave Cortese

Last year, California had one of the worst fire seasons on record. South Bay, East Bay, and Peninsula communities suffered through some of the biggest wildfires in our state’s history. This year, we are told the wildfire season may begin as early as July.

In addition to devastating fires, California is prone to earthquakes which can happen anytime. It is important to be proactive so that, as a community, we can be better prepared for any emergency.

I want to invite you to an Emergency Preparedness Training that my office will be co-hosting alongside Assemblymembers Alex Lee, Bill Quirk, Ash Kalra, and Marc Berman as well as Senators Bob Wieckowski, and Josh Becker. The training will take place virtually on Friday, June 25 from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm with closed captioning options available.

There will be a presentation that will educate you about preparing in advance for events like wildfires, earthquakes, and other emergencies.
