12/23/25 Update-Extreme Weather Notice

National Weather Service has a Wind Advisory in effect through Wednesday morning with strong winds (40-45 mph) gusting up to 75 mph in isolated areas.
- Periods of heavy rain and strong wind through the week
- Severe thunderstorms and/or tornados possible
- Localized flooding expected
- Landslides possible
- Strong winds arrive tonight
- Power outages likely
There is the potential of a Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) going out tonight from the National Weather Service (NWS) between 11:00pm and 4:00am if conditions warrant it.
Recommendations:
- Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
- Secure loose outdoor objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind.
- Charge your phones
- Check batteries in flashlights
- Sleep with your phone next to your bed tonight as there could be a WEA notice from the National Weather Service
