National Weather Service – Brian – forecast San Martin, Morgan Hill @ 100; Cupertino lo 100s; Bay in 90s; early next week w/ gradual cooling

The nighttime heat above 500′ not getting below 70s into 80s thru the weekend impacts the daytime heat.factor.
Valley evening temps will continue to drop to the 60s.
NO PSPS, NO Red Flag warnings by PGE or Fire.
Medical Examiner/Coroner warned of homeless in vehicles where temp can rise to 130; one of three deaths last time was in a car.
      Seniors – not do to yard work in this dry heat
      Drug users, esp. meth, cocaine will increase internal body temp, compounded outside temps.
OEM PIO added: Keep pets out of cars! Asked those setting up cooling centers to include if pets would be allowed;
PIO will push out messages this afternoon once she gets other’s input on cooling centers.
Drink electrolytes besides water.
Call seniors that are home-bound and unwilling to turn on A/C because of the cost.  Deaths in Portland last week were seniors who had no A/C or fans.
