Monkeypox Vaccination Clinic 7/24/22
The County of Santa Clara Public Health Department is hosting an additional vaccine clinic on Sunday, July 24, 2022.
People who added themselves to the contact list after appointments were fully booked for the Wednesday event have already received information about the Sunday appointments. Vaccine supply from the federal government supply continues to remain limited and, again, we will be able to accommodate only those meeting specific eligibility criteria: people who have already been exposed to monkeypox and people who are at high risk of exposure. People who are experiencing symptoms of monkeypox should not be vaccinated but should see a healthcare provider for testing and evaluation. See the event website for the specific criteria and note that those being vaccinated will be asked to sign an attestation form that they meet the criteria listed.
For people who register and are unable to be accommodated, their name and contact information will be added to a contact list. A person can use a pseudonym when joining the contact list. We will reach out to people on the contact list as more vaccine doses become available. We expect to offer more vaccination clinics next week.
